THE WHY

The funds raised will be directed towards the USA4RSA Foundation's Solar Panel Campaign. Community Mental Health & Psychiatry Foundation (CMHP), located in the Western Cape, South Africa, operates seven facilities, clinics, a frail care center, and a children's home. Founded in 1991 by Roy and Matilda Harris, CMHP offers comprehensive long-term care for 300 children and adults with severe and profound intellectual, developmental, physical, and mental disabilities, which significantly hinder their integration into society. Unfortunately, this community has been facing persistent challenges due to daily power outages lasting up to 10 hours. To address this issue, the USA4RSA Foundation was established by Roy and Matilda Harris in Florida, serving as a catalyst for fundraising and promoting capacity building in health and education nonprofits.

Furthermore, as a gesture of support to American veterans in need of mental health services, and in celebration of Veteran's Day on Nov 11, 10% of the funds raised will be donated to the American Legion of Tampa.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION SUPPORTS…

We Provide Health & Education Nonprofit Capacity Building In South Africa (RSA) And The United States Of America (USA).

Our non-profit foundation based in the USA exists to make, via donor fundraising, a substantial contribution towards low or zero-income severely, mentally, and physically challenged long-term residents and patients requiring healthcare and frail-care in South Africa (RSA).

OUR SPONSORS

2022 SPONSOR OF THE YEAR

It is a great honor to have Dr. Daniel Senekal as our 2022 Sponsor of the Year. Dr. Senekal is the lead Ophthalmologist at Visionmax Eye Center, the leading refractive eye surgery center in Western Canada. Dr. Senekal has performed over 50,000 procedures in his 18+ years in the business.

Thank you Dr. Senekal and Visionmax Eye Center for your continued support. We are excited for the growth that lies ahead and look forward to impacting more lives.

WELCOME TO OUR JOURNEY

Our initial projects were founded in 1991 with the dawn of de-institutionalization of long term psychiatric patients in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
These patients were soon to be discharged with nowhere to go, which culminated in our first group home with little-to-no government support or financial contributions from the state.

Learn more about our development projects today, and please consider donating to allow us to continue doing what we do.

Smile along with these happy faces at our mental health facilities in Cape Town, South Africa. From the bottom of our hearts, we THANK you for your donations that have allowed us to spread happiness and enrich the lives of these precious individuals.
